C-Bo, Jayo Felony, Spice One, E-40, Scarface, Psyco Realm, Paris, Public Enemy, DEAD PREZ, CYPRESS HILL, Son Doobie, Kid Frost, Proper Dos, TCM. They were commercial rappers. That's why you still hear there songs on the radio. There can't be one greatest rapper of all times. Ok time for me to throw in my two cents. I do have to qualify my statements by saying I remember when the Fat Boys were the shit. I had over 1500 Cd's before the divorce and consider myself a music afficianado. I have to say that in general I do not like rap music. I do not like it sam I am. Now as with everything there are exceptions.I have some great memories riding around listining to NWA and 2 Live Crew. As for "current" rappers There is alot of stuff by Biggie that I liked, Some Jay-Z, Nelly, Outkast is straying from rap but they are moving in an interesting way. ICP is good for a laugh. Missy Elliot and Queen Latifia did some ground breaking stuff. What ever happened to Master P. I can't say that I give a damn about Snoop or 50 Cent. And my heart broke, and I cried a single tear for society, when I was at the mall and heard a 13 YO girl singing Big Pimpin word for word. With that said my tastes run more towards Classic Rock, Rock, Dark Metal, old school punk and mid 90 (to present) top 40ish county (Im ecletic) and techno at home not at Raves. I don't listen to much Top 40 and thank god that the Boy Band craze is winding down. Are the Spice Girls ever going to get back together? 50 cent is not a rapper, he is a celebirity, he is terrible, the best nas, AZ, the fugees, immortal technique, loop troop, qwel, lil wayne(i know alot of people hate him, but he doesnt write his lyrics down, hes all flow), rick ross, dr dre, tupac, MAC DRE(im from the bay, RIP), lupe fiasco, wu tang, keak da sneak, bo hagen, nwa, ice cube(NWA), eazy e(NWA), kanye west those are some of the best... ja rule, 50 cent, nelly, jay z, puff daddy, and FABOLOUS are the worst rappers alive, they have hits and songs that are fun to listen but they dont have a meaning they are all about there money, not putting there heart and soul into their music, that is what makes a great MC, story telling!!!

i just read threw alot of these posts and being shot and living or dying doesnt make you a better rapper...nor does being "ghetto", biggie did come from a higher class neighborhood so i guess he was kinda fake for talking about the "hood" in the matter of him not being from there, but he did spend alot of time in the "hood", so i guess he does know a little bit about it...talking about fake, youd have to mention g unit, murder inc, they have good pr and that is it, whats popular is just a matter of how much money you have to promote your album,but the real answer to this question is whoever you like the best, music is all about what you like...cuz you cant really consider will smith, vanilla ice, and mc hammer rappers but if they are your favorite rappers then they are your favorite rappers
