Chapter 10: Midnight Bowling
Jodi was late getting ready so she drove herself to the bowling alley to meet the rest of the crew. Melinda, Dante, Connor, and Carmen she knew were coming. Carmen had mentioned she might bring others. When Jodi arrived, the parking lot was full, so she pulled into the restaurant next door, locked her car, and trotted for the entrance to the bowling alley. Her boobs jiggled beneath her shoulderless cream sweater as she did. She knew she would spend the evening constantly adjusting herself, but Mark had instructed her to dress inappropriately. She had completed her ensemble with an old pair of low-rise jeans that had holes cut right below both butt cheeks.
Melinda was waving her arm wildly from the lane at the far end of the building. Jodi returned the wave and began walking toward her friends. There were a couple of guys she didn’t recognize. Melinda promptly introduced them, “Jodi, this is Aaron and Adam,” she said, first gesturing toward the short, muscular ex-marine, then toward the average height, awkward Jewish guy. “Guys, this is Jodi.” They all shook hands and exchanged their appropriate social hellos. “We just started bowling, Jodi, but I got you some shoes, and you’re bowling in the girls’ lane. It’s girls against boys,” explained Melinda.
Jodi sat down and began removing her shoes. As she leaned over, the guys’ eyes were all on her cleavage, about to fall out of her sweater. She looked up to say something and they all turned their attention back to their game. She finished changing shoes. “You’re up,” said Carmen, just returning to her seat.
Jodi grabbed a ball from the rack and approached her starting position. She wasn’t a bowling pro by any stretch of the imagination, but she could get the ball down there and knock over plenty of pins more often than not. She leaned over and took aim. As she did, the holes in her jeans revealed themselves. The guys who were fortunate enough to be seated at the time got a nice shot of the crease of her ass. Dante missed out as he was standing beside her at his lane. Jodi crept forward and threw the ball straight down the middle. She took out 9 pins and spun around with glee. As she clapped she felt a little draft. She glanced down and saw that her right boob had popped out during the throw. She quickly scooped it back into her sweater, trying to play it off. Everyone but Dante got to see the spectacle. Adam and Aaron’s mouths hung agape. Jodi quickly threw her second ball, this time with not quite as much energy, and took out her final pin. She scurried back to her seat and said, “Spare!”
The night went on, and the crew had a lot of fun. There were no more boob incidents, but the guys got enough ass shots to consider themselves fulfilled. In the end, the guys had the better average score, winning the impromptu boys versus girls tournament.
“We win. You girls owe us!” cheered Dante.
Jodi furrowed her brow. “What does that mean?” she asked.
“We have to do something for them,” explained Melinda in defeat. “That was the bet before we started.”
“I didn’t know anything about that,” stated Jodi. “I don’t owe anyone anything.”
“Oh yes you do. You all do. You can take that up with Melinda,” assured Dante. “So, let’s all head to my place. The night is still young.”
Jodi wasn’t entirely thrilled about being held to a bet she was not party to. She’d make sure that was understood when they reached Dante’s apartment. Everyone got in their cars and drove off as Jodi walked back to her car in the restaurant parking lot. As she got closer, she got the sinking feeling her car was not where she had left it. In fact, it wasn’t anywhere to be seen. She ran inside the restaurant, which was now only filled with bar patrons, and begged to see a manager.
“It was towed,” explained the manager.
“What! Why!” shouted Jodi.
“Coz you weren’t eating here. I saw you myself. You parked and ran over to the bowling alley. Our lot is for our patrons only,” said the manager quite rudely.
A few more minutes of arguing yielded nothing but the number for the towing company. Jodi had left her purse and cell phone in her car and asked the manager if she could make a call from their line, but he would only direct her to the payphone outside. She was furious. “You need some help?” came a voice from behind her.
Jodi turned around wildly. “Yes do y…” She stopped mid-sentence when she saw the owner of the voice. It was Paul, the guy who had upset her the very first night she was in town at the Rho Iota party. “No, I don’t. Nevermind.” She began walking toward the door.
Paul followed her out. “Wait,” he called. “Seriously, you need a lift or something?”
Jodi turned around in disgust. “Not from you I don’t. Leave me alone.”
“Look, I’m getting ready to leave. Let me drop you off somewhere,” coerced Paul. “Or I can call the tow truck for you, but you’ll still need a ride there.”
Jodi understood the desperation of her situation. This wasn’t the best part of town to be in alone. After thinking it over, Jodi asked, “Can you drop me off at someone’s apartment?”
