But the only thing I would change is like on the the threads I would make it to where people couldnt post pics back (that would keep the violations of rules down to a min) and it wouldnt allow people to post those spinning names and stuff.. They are nice.. but speaking for us dialup fools lol it sucks causes it to lag lol but other than that U op's keep up the good work and so will we :) A+ Work!

When you go to CP Click Signature ...Then go to the Bottom ,and that Small Blue Writing (Insert Sig Picture )...or something like that...Then go to Browse and Upload your Siggy picture then Submit

Get rid of the 90 second wait between searches, this forum could very very easily manage a 20 second wait even if it was running on cheap bog standard servers, which I belive it is not. I end up leaving the site to browse another while waiting and then forgetting about the place.

Sort out the glitch in the new posts serch where it keeps dragging up threads from months ago (probably a simple error in the tpl. script)

Maybe add a sex icon in the profiles so we know who is a boy and who is a girly (although toady will get a lot less PMs)

I firmly believe that positive reinforcements work better than negative threats. No one wants to post with a gun to their head.. and none of us want to read posts that were made simply to get a post count up because they won't mean anything or add anything to the forum. We need to find ways to get people to WANT to get involved...whether by being friendlier to newcomers, being more aware of the appearances of cliques which a newbie would be scared to enter... contests whatever. A way to make this place fun.. not always having to read negative threats and moans about how the place is going downhill.

I do not intend reformating my whole god damn HD again because of this So I have made an official complaint to 'EL-LADIES' of which I am a credible and long standing advocate. I have decided to resurrect a program long since buried on the net called 'DEVINE RETRIBUTION' some of you [ if you have been around long enough ] may have heard of this program. What it does is target the offending URL on several ports [ well all of them actually :) ] and ping floods the said URL until it is bombed off the net [ temporarily anyway ] Maybe THEN some of these pick sites will get the message:mad: I am sorry if some of these referred link pic sites will be impossible to get [ or at least take 2 days to change frames ] but enough is enough

and pichunter is associated with over 360 sites and as you know is imposible to check every one every day so that why we installed the report this site button so that the good pepole like yourself can report bad sites like this and then the staff can take it down
but as for pichunter being completely bug free
thats a imposibility on average we are hit with in the upwards of 12,000 viruses per day from pepole trying to take down the site and drive trafic in there direction and we do our best to insure that we provide the cleanest pages available

Because kitty reasoned with me, telling me that i shouldn't have to have my privileges taken away. so at that point, I thought I was going to keep them. apparently people had other ideas, despite what they told her to tell me.

i don't really have a problem with my pm privileges being taken away--it's not as bad as being banned. however, it is perplexing why i'm given warnings, only to be punished soon after that before the warnings have a chance to take effect. it just doesn't make sense, and i'd like to know why things are operating that way.

Because kitty reasoned with me, telling me that i shouldn't have to have my privileges taken away. so at that point, I thought I was going to keep them. apparently people had other ideas, despite what they told her to tell me.

i don't really have a problem with my pm privileges being taken away--it's not as bad as being banned. however, it is perplexing why i'm given warnings, only to be punished soon after that before the warnings have a chance to take effect. it just doesn't make sense, and i'd like to know why things are operating that way.

Being a complete outsider looking in it appears to be something you need to suck up and move on. You made a mistake, you pushed the limits, and now you're being punished for that. The best thing for you to do is to move on and try to abide by all the rules.

good morning all! Andy... I've already pm'd you about this however thought I'd throw it into this thread as well.

I'm just wondering if there's any way there can be a limit as to how large signatures and avies are? (and what ever those pictures are that keep springing up beneath people's avies) I'm finding the forums incredibly congested, cluttered and really distracting to read these days. You know something's wrong when you have to make three rolls of the finger to scroll down past one post that is only one line long! I know you said you're in the middle of making some changes, however I just wanted to add my vote for keeping the place a bit easier to navigate through. I feel really sad for folks who only have dialup...all these new graphics must be a real pain.

I agree Sas, the change from when I was last on to now is not for the better. It cheapens the site, although the new ones are v. pretty I must add, love Fluffs, but it just looks odd and out of place.

Most people are here to see T&A, they often only have one hand free and they don't want to be wasting time scrolling to the next pic. :D

I have to agree as well, the artwork is superb BUT it is time consuming and out of place.
I caught my mouse as I was scrolling over one on Saturday and went off to another site completely so the pictures are hyperlinked!
As a photgrapher I appreciate the visual appeal of them but do they have to be so big?
If I was still on dial-up I would be losing the will to live waiting to view a thread if a few of those had been posted beforehand.

It is respectfully suggested that the Signature block be restricted in size or content.

This will reduce the half page nonsense that occurs each time a post is made by some, and nobody reads anymore, ..leaving the emoticon or two or three word reply normaly submitted as a message easier to spot.

It will also reduce the loading time for people with slow connections (Yes there are still some around)

I am sure the owner has not got a bottomless pocket in which to keep digging for funds to keep the site open and FREE so by reducing bandwith use a saving can be made so that new projects can be funded.

I have to agree with you Iva, some of the siggies are pretty huge, and when its a very few word reply to a thread it makes a mockery of things in my opinion.
Also how about restrictions on avatar sizes? This is in no way meant to be a criticism of Kandy and the great work he produces, but how about if a member could only have a 'large' Kandy-made avatar after they have made a set number of posts?
Maybe 50? Until then they are restricted to the 100 pixel square versions that are the only size that can be uploaded. That way the member concerned has shown an intent to to be active with the forum and not just be a freeloading lurker. Having been away for a month there seems to be a lot of new names on PH, maybe as a result of the chatroom, but this could be a good time to start. After all every little helps.
One more thought, multiple threads from the same person in a section. It seems odd to me that a person has to have 3/4/5+ threads in, say, female nudes when one or two threads would do the same job and divert all the attention to that one thread.

For what its worth that's my two cents worth on the subject.

Some of the signatures border on ridiculous with their size...I have dialup...you can imagine my frustration at the time those take to load...the same thing with all the large avatars...

And the idea of a small avi until you demonstrate you want to be a member and POST 50 or more times is a winner IMHO...

I have never been an advocate of a person running six threads in a section (like female nudes - host one or two threads and put your photos there. This way people know where to find you and that should translate into more views and more posts. Some people seem to feel they need a new thread for a "theme"...

I am not sure if you are agreeing or not with my post Randy, and I do agree with a lot of what you say, but if reductions were made in the areas I mentioned surely that would avoid a lot of your points occuring?
My point was that if these things were reduced, pages would load quicker and maybe attract more people to view them and post there. I have a broadband connection and some of the pages here take 20+ seconds to load fully. If pages take that long on broadband then lord help anybody on dial-up connections. I would be bored waiting and go elsewhere to another site for my kicks.
LIke I said every little helps and if anything I suggested gained PH one more member who contributed then it was worth it.

In just a week this has become my favorite place online! I just happened to stumble across ph while obviously looking for some hot nude chicks. i tried to make the point that we seem to have gotten too concerned with post counts, avatars and signatures; and i would welcome any restrictions placed on the latter two. if i had a say in it, i would vote for no larger than 100x100 for avs, and keep sigs below 200 characters (i believe it's currently 500). that should help to streamline the forum, so yes BD...i do agree with you.

some people just aren't comfortable posting in some of the threads where there is a tight knit group of people who post all the time, not because they don't want to, they just may not understand that we're an accommodating group of people. some people just can't be here that often. then there are the people who are here only to look at T&A. in my opinion (and it is just my opinion), that should be respected. after going through kandy's thread earlier i found out that after 3 months of being here, i only had about 80 posts. did that make me a lurker or a "bad" member? i don't think so...why would it be any different for a new member now?

I think the whole 'lurker' issue is out of proportion, frankly. Sassy has convinced me that there are more important issues. Quite frankly I've never felt uncomfortable here. There are just some forums and threads I choose not to visit.

I was a lurker once. Hell I was a lurker for almost 18 months.
I registered back in December '04 and if I recall I posted a few pics of Lauren and then forgot all about this place.
Well then I happened upon the place again in January '06, I looked a round for a bit and eventually stumbled upon a small thread called Kandys Krazy Kat Korner well I got posting and found that Kandy, Andy, Sassy, Swat and a few others were a great bunch of people. That thread led to me becoming a Moderator here and then to my attempt at global domination as Head Moderator. :D
Long story short I became part of something that I've come to love and I made a few good friends into the bargain.
As for post counts, who gives a shite? I think I had somewhere close 8,000 posts before the count got wiped back to zero (the posts are all still there, just the numbers got scratched out).
Do I care? No!!!
My avi? It could be anything or even nothing.
What matters most is that I enjoy my time here and make a contribution.

So I ask myself what is this discussion all about?
Why bother debating the definition of a lurker?
A lurker is just that, never posts and never will.

All we as posting members can do is try to make the newcomers feel welcome and I believe that is what we do.

Just me again... I'd like to make a suggesting re: the Chat Room, the issue with leg humpers and the huge number of guests or new members who get kicked out on a regular basis.

1. How can a guest or new member know the rules of the chat room (ie. no whispering without asking permission first, etc) if they're not posted anywhere? Too many are getting kicked out on their first offense.. but how fair is that. As one astute member has said.. what if that person getting kicked would have been the next daisy or surfer girl?? So I say, the rules should be visible when you log into the chatroom.. Guests should have to check a box saying they'll agree to the rules before they can enter..that way everyone at least knows what the expectations are. As for the quick banning.. we seem to have a lot of mods with twitchy ban fingers.. that's fine if you only want a small clique using the chatroom.. but maybe a little but more guidance and allowance for people to make mistakes and learn from them?

2. Maybe only members of the forum should be allowed in the chatroom. That way they already know they have to be over 18 and they've agreed to terms of use? It's the guests that seem to cause the most problems.. so don't let them in!!

Just a few of my thoughts...

A request is just that, a request, it does not mean that what you are asking for can or will be done. That's not to say that we don't listen to what is said in this thread, we do, but we are not the decision makers here and no matter how much the mods agree with you, it still doesn't mean it is a done deal.

The issue with leghumpers and the chat rules is being addressed, but unfortunately we have to rely on others to make the actual changes, and these things take time.

But at least they couldn't complain that they were kicked out without knowing the rules. That would take some of the aggro away.

Sass, you can see a list of the Mods by clicking the link near the bottom of the forum lead page. Where it says "View Forum Leaders"

Don't know why one of the Mods couldn't have told you that, nor why they weren't introduced as usual. Guess they're all to busy deleting your postings :rolleyes:

Well guys Cookin is going to say her peace here too..............I know I have not been a member long here, but boy oh boy what I have seen and heard in such a short amount of time..yeeeeeeeesh..........And to think some of you here have been here years. There is ALOT of drama here, bitching...he said and she said, promises made and broken, and worst yet I have been privy to petty jealousy. I came here initially with the interest and curiosity of what it would be like for others to see my husband and I, in our most intimate state. The response and comments we got from the members here was overwhelming and very complimentary, and I would personally like to thank everyone here who liked Mr. & Mrs. Cookin. I have made alot of GREAT people here, and hope I can and will be able to continue those friendships.

Get rid of the 90 second wait between searches, this forum could very very easily manage a 20 second wait even if it was running on cheap bog standard servers, which I belive it is not. I end up leaving the site to browse another while waiting and then forgetting about the place.

The problem with styles is that vbulletin updates a lot of things for security reasons, and every style has to be remade compatable each update.

So each extra style we carry, we have to invest a lot of overhead keeping them working in the future.

We prefer to offer the Default Vbulletin style (which should always work for everything), and a stylized offering.
