Chapter 2: First Night in Town
Rho Iota was the medical fraternity. They had lots of get-togethers for the med students throughout the school year. This one was sort of a welcoming party where people could get to know each other. Lisa drove because she was not a drinker. They parked the car and proceeded inside the enormous house.
There were quite a few people drinking and dancing and generally having a great time. Melinda pulled Jodi out onto the dance floor in no time flat. Seconds later someone had put beers in their hands. Of course, any time two good-looking girls start dancing together, they draw a bit of a crowd. Awkward guys would come out and try to dance around the duo, but Melinda was a pro at teasing them and wouldn’t let them get in too close. Jodi was just trying not to kill people who were attempting to invade her bubble. Melinda leaned in and asked, “Can I touch your boob?”

Melinda stood up and closed the door before returning to the bed. “Look, guys are assholes. That’s why I turn my attention to girls a lot. Sometimes it helps you feel better without feeling like someone’s prey. Know what I mean?”
Yes, Jodi knew what Melinda meant, but what did that mean at this very moment? “Melinda, are you coming on to me?” Jodi asked.

“I was afraid you would say that,” said Melinda. “Oh, well maybe some other time.” She winked and walked to the opposite end of the hall to her bedroom. “Good night.”
